Entries
Entries close on Wednesday 12 August at 7pm.
Entries and
fees can be posted to Clyde to Alexandra Road Races, P O Box 249,
ALEXANDRA or dropped off at 2 Orchard Drive, Alexandra.
Entries may
also be emailed to alexharr@orcon.net.nz.
Note that entries for
athletes 16 and under must be signed by their parent or caregiver.
Late entries will be accepted up to 12 noon on race day. An additional
fee of $5.00 will be imposed on late entries.

On race day, all enquiries to the Race Tent or ring Jill 021-286-0378.
No changes or late entries will be accepted after 12:00 on race day.
No refund of fees for withdrawals made after 7pm on Friday 14 August.
Race Numbers
Race Numbers must be collected from the Race Tent at the Finish Line on
Boundary Road, Alexandra from 11am on race day.
Please ensure you have your race number before you travel to the race
start. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A NUMBER YOU CANNOT COMPETE!

Transport to Race Start
Bus transport to the start of the 10km races
is available from the IceInline Sports Complex carpark, opposite the
Finish Line, Alexandra.
To assist with planning, please indicate if you will need the bus when
entering.
Race Briefing
All competitors must attend the race briefing - this will take place 5
minutes prior to the start of each race.
Race Rules
All athletes must obey normal road rules.
All athletes must stay on the right hand side of the road facing
oncoming traffic.
All athletes must obey the instructions given by race officials.
No animals or children allowed to accompany athletes on the course.
No support vehicles, cyclists or non-competing runners are to follow
the race. Any athletes followed in this way may be disqualified.
All athletes must wear their race numbers on the front of their singlet.
Water Station
A water station is provided for the 10km walkers and runners in
Muttontown Gully (approx 4km from start) and for all competitors at the
finish.
Car parking at finish
Please use the car park at the IceInline Sports Complex across the road
from the Finish.
Toilets
Portable toilets are available at both the race start and
finish. There are also public toilets at Pioneer and Molyneux
Parks.
Showers
Available at the Molyneux Stadium Changing Rooms, Molyneux Park.
Molyneux Aquatic Centre, opposite the race finish, also offers
therapeutic/leisure pool, lane swimming and spa as well as showers. Adults $4.00 - children $2.00. Shower only - $2.
Afternoon Tea and Prize Giving
Molyneux Stadium Rugby Club Rooms. Afternoon tea - 3:30pm. Prize giving
- approximately 4:00pm (once results finalised).
Prizes
10km and Junior Run: Prizes will be awarded to the first three
finishers in each category.
10km and 6km Walk: Prizes will be awarded to the first male and
female finisher. All walkers will go in the extra special spot prize
draw!
Certificates Certificates will be sent to all race finishers.
Spot Prizes
Returned race numbers for all competitors will be used to draw some
great spot prizes during afternoon tea and prizegiving.
Competitors must be present to collect their spot prize. A box for the
return of race numbers will be available at the finish and at the
Molyneux Stadium Rugby Club Rooms.
Results
Provisional results will be displayed after the prize-giving and
available from http://alexandraharriers.orcon.net.nz on Sunday 16
August 2009.
