Clyde to Alexandra Road Races

The Clyde to Alexandra Road Races have been held in Central Otago every spring since 1969.  The 10km races start on the crest of the Clyde Dam and head down the by-pass road through the historic township of Clyde, past the hospital along Muttontown Road to the main highway, which runners and walkers then follow to the outskirts of Alexandra.

As well as a 10km run and walk, we have shorter races for junior runners and a 6km walk, starting along the route to also finish on the road reserve on the outskirts of Alexandra.

Following the races is an afternoon tea and prizegiving for competitors and their supporters. All competitors go in the draw for some great spot prizes.

While this event attracts the top runners and walkers from Otago and Southland,  there are also many people "Giving it a Go!" and walking or running their first 10km race, or coming back to better last years time!
